About the Piece: The purpose of this piece is to reflect on the current societal-medical culture of medicating symptoms as opposed to treating the root cause of illness. As a fast-paced society, we turn to medicine to cure our symptomatic ailments as opposed to the root cause of illness. The hyperbole of this piece; creating an enlarged human heart from Aspirin pills, stops viewers in their tracks and begs the aforementioned question.
